Of Fur & Feathers

In creating a series of animal portraits, I wanted to explore the expressive potential of light and shadow. Working with low-key lighting against a black background allowed me to strip away environmental distractions and focus solely on the animal as subject. This process highlights not only the beauty of their physical form but also their unique presence and individuality.

Beyond its value as a personal project, I hope this work will contribute to a wider appreciation of animals as individuals, encouraging viewers to pause, reflect, and see them anew - through a lens of respect, curiosity, and empathy.
